Maintain Student Rosters

Solution

IBS 2.7 > Facilitator Functions

The Maintain Student Rosters function allows you to view information about your students. For example, you can:

  • view your students' profiles (contact information, address, age, gender, and other information they entered when they first created their IBS account)
  • see the date on which each student enrolled in your class
  • see a student's payment status and class completion status
  • send a message to an individual student or to the class as a whole, using the IBS notification system

You can also use this option to drop a student from your class, if certain conditions are met.

To enter the Student Manager:

  1. Enter the campus of the Group in which you are facilitating, then from the Facilitators menu, select Maintain Student Rosters.
  2. Select the class whose students you want to view.

A table appears listing all students currently enrolled in that class. From the table of students:

  • To view a student's profile, click the student's name.
  • To send a notice to the student, click Notify (in the Action column).
  • To send a notice to the entire class, click the indicated link above the table.
Dropping a student from a class

You may occasionally find that you need to drop a student from your class. For example, if you have enabled the “Enrollment Approval” feature, the student must return to your Group’s Sales Catalog after his enrollment is approved to complete his payment for the class. If he does not complete the payment, he is not a member of your class but is still taking up a “seat”. You may wish to drop him to make room for another student.

Students who are dropped by the facilitator will receive a refund (if applicable) and will no longer have access to the course materials or Class Discussions.

You may drop a student from a class if EITHER of the following is true:
  • He has never finalized his enrollment by paying for the class.
  • His payment was made less than 60 days ago AND his class completion status is “Working”. (If the student has a status of Pending, you must return him to Working before you can drop the student. In this case, the student may receive a refund.)
If a student paid more than 60 days ago, or if the student’s class completion status has been changed to Complete or Incomplete, you cannot drop him from the class.

To drop (remove) a student from this class, click Drop (in the Action column). You will need to confirm this action by clicking OK when prompted.
