4:1 When I call out, answer me,
O God who vindicates me!23
Though I am hemmed in, you will lead me into a wide, open place.24
Have mercy on me25
and respond to26
my prayer!

how long will you try to turn my honor into shame?28
How long29
will you love what is worthless,30
and search for what is deceptive?31

the LORD shows his faithful follower special favor;33

Do some soul-searching as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways!36
