25:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

25:2 Dominion¹ and awesome might² belong to³ God;
he establishes peace in his heights.⁴
25:3 Can his forces be numbered,⁵
and upon whom does his light⁶ not rise?
25:4 How then can a man be righteous before God,
and how can one born of a woman be pure?⁷
25:5 If even the moon is not bright,⁸
and the stars are not pure in his eyes,
25:6 how much less man, who is but a maggot—⁹
a son of man, who is only a worm!”
