Entering a Campus

Solution

IBS 2.7 > General Functions

After you have applied to join a Group, the Group will be listed on your My IBS Portal page under My Groups. If the Group has not yet admitted you, your status will be listed as Pending.  Once you have been admitted, your status will change to Admitted, and you may enter the Group’s campus by clicking on the Group’s name.

When you enter a Group’s campus, several things will happen.

  • The masthead will now display the name of the Group. You can always tell what campus you are in by checking the masthead.
  • The Group’s welcome page will appear.
  • You will see additional options in the sidebar navigation.
  • My IBS Portal remains near the top of the sidebar menu. You can access the portal and its functions at any time.

Since you have been admitted to the Group, you have Student privileges in its campus and will see the Students menu. From this menu you can shop for new courses, access courses you have already purchased, or apply to become a facilitator within the Group.

If you have been assigned an additional role in the Group, such as Facilitator or Group Administrator, you will also see the appropriate menu(s) for those roles.  The functions on those menus are described in the Overview of the Facilitators Menu and the Overview of the Group Administrators Menu, respectively.

Remember, you may be admitted to more than Group, and you may have different roles in each Group. The menus you see in the sidebar may change as you move from one campus to another, depending on your role in each Group.
