I cry out to you, O LORD.
130:2 O sovereign master, listen to me!2
Pay attention to3
my plea for mercy!
130:3 If you, O LORD, were to keep track of4
sins,
O sovereign master, who could stand before you?5
130:4 But6
you are willing to forgive,7
so that you might8
honored.9
130:5 I rely on10
the LORD,
I rely on him with my whole being;11
I wait for his assuring word.12
130:6 I yearn for the sovereign master,13
more than watchmen do the morning,
yes, more than watchmen do the morning.14
130:7 O Israel, hope in the LORD,
for the LORD exhibits loyal love,15
and is more than willing to deliver.16
