IBS 2.7 > Group Administrator: General Functions

The Group Cost Elements link (in the sidebar menu under Group Administrators > General Administration) displays the various elements that affect your Group's pricing and revenue. For example, you can see:

• IBS Surcharge: The fee charged by IBS for delivering a sales item from the IBS site. This fee is proportional to the file size of the sales item and is part of the “wholesale cost” that must be paid by the Academic Group. The base surcharge may be reduced for any particular Academic Group by applying the IBS Surcharge Group Factor. See Academic Pricing for details.
• IBS Share Factors: The percentage of your Group’s net earnings that you will share with IBS when you act in a Publishing or Academic role. See the articles on Publisher Pricing and Academic Pricing for details.
• Publisher Group Factors: The factors that various Publishing Groups have granted to your Group. When you, as an Academic Group, sell a Publisher’s product to a student, you are obligated to pay the Publisher’s price to the Publishing Group. Each Publishing Group can grant Group factors to reduce their prices for specified Academic Groups. A factor of less than 100% indicates that your Group will pay less than the Publisher’s base price whenever you sell their products. See Academic Pricing for details.
