Closing a Thread

The Close Thread moderation feature prevents users from posting new messages to a thread. Messages that were already posted can still be viewed. This is useful when a facilitator wants to halt a discussion (perhaps after summarizing it) and then move on to a new subject.

To close a thread, first view the thread you want to close, then near the bottom of the screen, select Open / Close Thread from the Moderation Options dropdown menu.
