IBS 2.7 > Class Discussions When you open a forum or subforum to view the list of threads within it, you may notice two columns of symbols along the left side of the list. The symbols in the first column are created automatically. They indicate various things about the thread, such as whether it contains new posts or whether it contains any posts written by you. A legend describing the various symbols appears at the bottom of the list of threads. The symbols in the second column are created by the person posting the thread. When you create a post, you have the option of applying a "post icon" to it. For example, if your post is a question, you might choose to use the icon which is a question mark in a blue circle. You do not have to use these "post icons" - use one only where it makes sense.
