Saving a Draft before Posting

Solution

IBS 2.7 > Class Discussions

If you have begun drafting a reply for a Class Discussion forum, but are not ready to post it, you can save it as a draft. This allows you to edit it and post it at a later date or time.

To save your text as a draft, in the "Post a New Reply" window, scroll down past the Attachment box and click Save as Draft.
Save as draft
Your draft will be saved and you can continue editing it later.

When you are ready to work on your reply again, you will need to locate it in your Drafts folder. To do this:

  1. From anywhere in the forums, click User CP to open your User Control Panel.
    User CP
  2. The User Control Panel appears along the left side of your screen. Scroll down to locate the "Miscellaneous" heading.
  3. Under Miscellaneous, click Saved Drafts.
    Saved Drafts link
  4. A list of your saved drafts will appear. Click Edit Draft to open your saved draft for editing.
  5. NOTE: To ensure that your posts display properly in both Linear and Threaded mode, it is CRITICAL to click [Save as Draft] again IMMEDIATELY BEFORE you click on [Post Reply].
