Structure of an IBS Forum

Solution

IBS 2.7 > Class Discussions

Each IBS forum is set up with a similar structure.

The main forum for each class is identified by the class name and class session number. This is a numeric code that identifies the particular session (class) of the course in which you are enrolled. When you first enter the forums, be sure to locate the correct forum for the session in which you are enrolled. The session number in this example is 30.

Each class's main forum contains four subforums: Class Guidance, Class Activities, Team Workroom, and Resource Center.

Note: Do not confuse the Resource Center with the Study Resources. The Resource Center contains material provided by your facilitator, specifically for the course you are taking.  Study Resources are more general materials for biblical studies. They are not part of the Class Discussion forums; instead, they are accessed by clicking the Study Resources button while inside the classroom.

Within these four forums are the threads. Threads consist of an initial posting, often posted by the facilitator, and replies to that posting. The structure and content of the threads will, of course, vary greatly from one class to another. Here is an example of threads that might appear within the Class Guidance subforum:
