Navigating in the Classroom

Solution

IBS 2.7 > Classroom Functions

There are two ways to navigate within the IBS classroom: the navigation links andthe course outline.

Navigation links

The navigation links are the Previous Page and Next Page links in the classroom screen. Clicking these links will take you either forward (Next Page) or backward (Previous Page) through the course, one page at a time. There are two sets of navigation links: one is located in the top row of the classroom screen and is always visible. The second set is located at the bottom of each page, so you may need to scroll down to see it.

It is possible to navigate through the entire course using just the navigation links, but since most courses are several hundred pages long, this may not be the most efficient method!

Course outline
The course outline appears in the left panel of your screen when you first enter the classroom. Since the left panel is also used to display other information, the course outline will not always be there, but you can redisplay it at any time by clicking the Course Outline link in the top row of the classroom screen.

You can use the course outline to jump quickly to any lesson, topic, or subtopic in the course. The outline is collapsed when first displayed, so that it shows only the units (major sections) of the course.
Course outline collapsed

To expand the unit to see the lessons within it, click the small (+) next to the unit. The lessons will be displayed. Similarly, you can click the (+) next to the lessons to see the topics, and the (+) next to the topics to see the subtopics.

To collapse any of these sections again, just click the small (-) next to it.

When you have located the section of the course you want to go to, click the underlined title. The unit, lesson, topic, or subtopic will be displayed in the right panel of your screen.
